Our week together in Oaxaca July 22-28, 2026 is shaping up to be something really special. Below is the working schedule. Things will shift a bit as we get closer, and we’ll be ready to pivot when amazing opportunities pop up as they inevitably will.

 

Wednesday, July 22nd

  • Arrive & settle in!

  • 9pm: Casual drinks at Copal

Thursday, July 23rd

Friday, July 24th

  • Artisan & Mezcal adventure (full or half day)

    • 9am: Teotitlán del Valle to visit weaver & candle-maker workshops

    • 2pm: Madre Mezcal palenque visit

  • 9pm: Casual drinks at Liquen Oaxaca

Saturday, July 25th

  • Explore the city

  • (TBC) Late lunch (maybe a place to watch the parade?)

  • Guelaguetza Parade at 6pm

  • (TBC) Lucha Libre!

Sunday, July 26th

  • Explore the city

  • 6pm - Midnight: The Big Oaxaca50 Fiesta at Criollo

Monday, July 27th

  • My actual birthday!

  • The official La Guelaguetza event happens on this day. There’s a performance at 10am. Tickets on sale May/June (very hard to get, but we can try!)

  • 12-4pm: Pool party at Otro Oaxaca

  • 6:30pm: Closing dinner at Zandunga

Here’s a general sense of free time throughout the week in Oaxaca:
